Beltway 8/I-10 Closures (Thursday, August 14 - Thursday, August 21)

  • The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound will be closed until August 2008. I-10 eastbound traffic destined to Beltway 8 northbound will detour via the I-10 eastbound exit ramp to Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left at the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road and enter the Beltway 8 mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Hammerly.
  • The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound will be closed until September 2008. I-10 eastbound traffic destined to Beltway 8 southbound will be detoured to continue eastbound and take the Gessner exit, U-turn to the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and take the new I-10/Katy Freeway westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 southbound.
  • There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound mainlanes at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM, Thursday, August 14 until 5 AM, Friday, August 15. Traffic will detour via the Memorial exit to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road and re-enter the Beltway 8 mainlanes from Westview.
  • There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound beginning 9 PM, Thursday, August 14 until 5 AM, Friday, August 15. Traffic will detour via the Memorial exit to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
  • There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound beginning 9 PM, Thursday, August 14 until 5 AM, Friday, August 15. Traffic will detour via the Westview exit to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
  • There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound nightly Thursday, August 14, Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 from 10 PM to 5 AM. I-10 westbound traffic destined to Beltway 8 southbound will detour via the new I-10 westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 northbound, exit Hammerly and U-turn to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter the Beltway 8 mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Hammerly.
  • There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and BELTWAY 8 beginning 9 PM, Friday, August 15 until 5 AM, Saturday, August 16. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
