Did You Know...

In June 2003, the Texas Department of Transportation celebrated the groundbreaking of the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program. Now, less than six years later, construction activities are near completion. Improvements to the new I-10 corridor include new sidewalks and a bike trail, substantial drainage improvements and increased lane capacity that now totals almost 490 total lane miles (including mainlanes, frontage roads, managed lanes, Beltway 8, SH-6, and I-610). A formal Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 28 to celebrate this monumental project and the contributions of the many agency partners, stakeholders, and local communities that supported this effort.

Look Ahead on Contracts E1 and E2
